Gewurztraminer
CHF 16.00 tax incl.
Well-known to Alsatians, Gewürztraminer actually comes from South Tyrol. This grape variety can be vinified as a “mellow” wine (with a few grams of residual sugar) or as a dry wine. We regularly choose the dry wine option to keep a maximum of freshness. However, depending on the vintage, we may retain a few grams of sugar for a sweet finish. Tasting notes: On the nose, typical Gewurztraminer aromas such as lychee and rose are clearly present. The nose is expressive and fine. In the mouth: lychee aromas. Fresh but well-balanced on the palate. Food & wine: Pairs well with spicy dishes or strong cheeses (Munster, Roquefort, fresh goat’s cheeses). It also goes well with foie gras.
